This is often a forgotten aspect of your facility.
Most cities are now requiring backflow prevention on all new water services to commercial buildings as well as some residential installations. These devises prevent water from inside your facility reentering the city water main by traveling backwards through your water service.
We all know how critical a quality water system is. The catch to this requirement is if you have one in your building, it must be tested/inspected once every year! Most backflow preventers are installed out of site/out of mind and are easily forgotten.
We have a state certified backflow preventer inspector on staff. Once we get the specifics, Gary can come and test your unit(s). Be prepared, most units fail the first test and must be “worked” to get a good test. This is why it should be checked yearly. |
